Father Explains His Son's Absence From School In The Most Epic Way Ever | xHots.Net

Some things can't be learned/done from the seat of a desk in a room with a teacher. Some things cannot be explained but rather, need to be experienced and discussed. Finland has an education system where students use teachers' first names, are not tested, and never have homework with a lot of time set aside for learning in nature and hands-on activities. They hold the highest Education Index scores on the globe, tying for first place with Denmark, Australia and New Zealand.
This is a story about how one father from South Wales is giving his son the kind of education that makes kids successful, and his execution is wickedly creative.

Simon Morgan Has A Son And A Sense of Humor

This is the face of a man who knows how to have a good time. Simon Morgan likes to spend time with family and give them experiences rather than things. When given the chance to take his 15-year-old son on the spontaneous trip of a lifetime, he did and forgot to make that oh-so important call to the ol' ball 'n chain school office.

Dubai In A Book Or IRL? Who Wouldn't Take The Latter?

When the school texted Simon to inform him of his son's absence, the clever father responded in the only way he could think of: with physical proof. Just think of the secretary's face.

Time Well Spent

Simon says (hehe), "We only found out about the holiday the day before as it was through the travel agency that we run, so we genuinely didn’t have time to plan. I know I should have told the school beforehand but if you ask on things like this unfortunately they often say they don’t approve of it, so I took a gamble. They didn’t reply to the text so I think it paid off."

No, It's Not The First Time

Simon has responded hilariously to just about every communication with his son's school. It's all good for a laugh and likely the staff are getting a kick out of it.
