He Sets Up 6000 Matches And Lights One End. What Happens Next Is Absolute Perfection! | XHots.Net

Sometimes you just need 15 minutes to sit back and enjoy an awesome video of something burning. You know, for science. I bet you haven't seen someone line up 6,000 matches and allow them to light up like dominoes before. Someone took the time to neatly gather all of these matches into a square so that you could enjoy the progression of a radiant yet contained flame. You may think that in order to get a red, phosphorous-tipped safety match to burn that you have to strike it on a rough surface, but friction produced from nearby heat and combustion can get that bad boy to light up. But will the flame explode across the entire group of matches immediately, or will the flame travel nice and slowly? If you like this video, you should also see this.
What's so cool about using safety matches for this experiment is that the match tips burn somewhat slowly, providing for a nice domino-like flame movement across the entire batch of matches. What's also pretty weird are the black tendrils leftover by the burnt matches. You have to see this for yourself — my description isn't doing this video justice.  If you have a few minutes to blow on the bus, a coffee break, or in bed, check out this hot new video.
If you want to see another interesting video, check this one out too.
